The story behind coviewThe reason we ended up developing a customer service tool, though, had to do with a problem we experienced in our everyday office life. Another product we developed got lots of new users - and supporting those users kept us very busy.
The problem was that we often struggled to really understand our customers. They tried to explain their problem and we had to ask many questions because we weren’t really sure what they meant. Plus we were annoying customers with silly technical questions (“have you cleared your cache?”), things that a tool could check for us. It was a long, inefficient process that left our customers and ourselves unsatisfied countless times. And just as often we imagined how cool it would be to just see the customer’s screen and get provided with some technical information.
And then there were bugs. We would spend hours trying to reproduce them. We wanted a tool that would also make the life of our developers easier.
Of course we looked into any solution on the market, but there was nothing that could really help us. So we decided to do it ourself.
